Secrétaire des Affaires Intérieurs des Etats-Unis, Janet Napolitano, a annoncé la délivrance du Statut de Protection Temporaire (TPS) pour les ressortissants haïtiens qui sont sur le sol américians depuis le 12 Janvier 2010. Ce statut permettra aux Haïtiens éligibles de demeurer aux Etats-Unis ainsi que de recevoir l'autorisation de travailler pour les 18 prochain mois.
ATTENTION: Pour tous ressortisants haïtiens qui sont sur le sol américain désirant faire une demande d’un Statut Temporaire pour un séjour d’une durée de 18 mois, pourront en faire la demande à partir du 21 Janvier 2010 jusqu’au 22 juillet 2010 inclusivement.
La demande ne sera pas validée si elle n’est pas faite par USCIS (United States Citizenship and Immigration Services) dans les 180 jours suivants la date du 21 Janvier.

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano has announced the designation of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for eligible Haitian nationals who were in the United States as of January 12, 2010. This designation will allow eligible Haitian nationals in the United States to remain in the U.S. and receive Employment Authorization for at least the next 18 months. If you are a Haitian national living in the U.S. and are interested in applying for TPS and Employment Authorization.
Important Notification :
180-day window of opportunity for Haitians to apply for TPS begins January 21, 2010 and ends July 22, 2010.
On January 21, 2010, a Notice will be published in the Federal Register which will begin the 180 day period for Haitians who are currently in the USA to apply for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) which will have an 18 month duration.
Applications will not be valid if not made to USCIS within the 180 days commencing on January 21, 2010. All applications must be properly filed with USCIS by July 22, 2010.
