Real Estate Development

Builders and Developers of real estate usually require the assistance of an attorney to guide them through the legal maze of the regulatory process. For a subdivision to be constructed, the city or town will require approvals from the local Planning Board; from the Conservation Commission in the case of wetlands, and the Zoning Board of Appeals in the case of an undersized lot, short frontage or other reasons. In some cases, the town may require approvals from the local Historic Board or from some state agencies in the case of affordable housing.

Attorney Alphen has represented builders and developers in all aspects of real estate development from residential subdivisions to industrial developments. Attorney Balas, a former Chairman of the City of Lowell Conservation Commission, provides our clients with insights into Conservation and development matters. Attorneys Alphen and Balas are assisted by Attorney Morin, a current member of the City of Lowell Zoning Board of Appeals.
